I picked the kids up from school on Friday, and John had two witch hat cookies on a plate. He was so proud of these cookies. He told me “They are for you and Daddy. We got to make three today, and I had one at snack.” As soon as Gillian saw the cookie she had to have it. I told John she could have my cookie. He said, “But I made them for you. I know how to make them. We just need the ingredients. We need icing and a chocolate cookie and a big chocolate chip.” We went out to dinner and on our way home, John and Gillian ate the two witch hat cookies. We stopped at the food store and got the “ingredients.” We found the Hershey kisses, and green icing very quickly, but had a hard time in the cookie aisle finding a big chocolate cookie. While I was looking at every option of cookie, John started to do the pee-pee dance. We threw our stuff on a shelf and ran to the bathroom. On our way back, I said to John, ok now we need to find a big chocolate cookie. He says “Yup with a hole in it.” Thank goodness he said that, because I saw those cookies. We bought our ingredients and went home. John immediately went to work and showed Daddy, Gilly and I how to make the witch hat cookies.
