Tonight at dinner, John was drinking a juice box and a little of the juice went down the wrong pipe. He coughed a few times. Daddy asked him if he was ok. John kept coughing. Gillian watched this whole thing happen and started coughing. Again Daddy asked him if he was ok. John answered Daddy, “I’m coughing for real, but she’s faking. Some of my juice box went down the wrong pipe!”

In the fall, Gillian needed to bring a teddy bear to school. All the kids in her class brought in bears and the bears hibernated for the winter. When I picked the kids up from school, I saw Gillian’s bear in her cubby. She told me “Him waked up! I missed him!” She was so excited to get her bear back. He sat on her lap in the car and she ran in the house to show Daddy. “My bear back!”
