We ordered Chinese food for dinner tonight. The kids ate all their dinner and were able to have a fortune cookie for dessert. John opened his first. He asked me to read his fortune for him. The fortune was perfect for John. It said “Great success comes from patience.” John didn’t understand his fortune, but we explained it to him. We told him that he needed to slow down and take his time with things and everything will work out. He seemed to understand.
Gillian broke her cookie and handed her fortune to Daddy. Daddy told her “Your fortune says ‘You are a princess!'” Gillian shook her head and said “No! It says …” As she spoke she got quieter and quieter. Daddy looked at me to see if I understood what she said. I had no clue. Daddy asked her to tell us again. She said “It says ‘Beep boop dop dupe'” I think I would rather have the fortune that Daddy read.
