John has been reading a series called “Heroes in Training.” This series is a little below his reading level, but he is enjoying the books. Last week I took the kids to the library and I took out the next three books in the series. 

Tonight I tucked in Gillian and said good night. John was close to finishing book four. I said to him “You can stay up and finish this book.” I then went downstairs to work on some cookies. Almost two hours later I came up stairs and Daddy said “Your boy didn’t go to sleep until 9:40. He stayed up and finished book five!” 

He’s going to be so exhausted tomorrow but I’m so happy that he loves to read.
