Last night when it was time for Gillian to read, I asked her who she wanted to read to. I offered, “Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Betty, Grandma, Mimi, and Aunt Missy.” She shook her head at every suggestion. She said “I only want to read to John.” We called John upstairs and at first he didn’t want to listen to her. But I whispered that she only wanted to read to him. He said “All right. But we’ll do it in my room.” And away they went. He sat with her and helped with the words she had trouble with.
I got some of it on video.
