Tonight Gillian had rough day, she was very emotional about everything. I told her to go to her room to relax for a little bit. When I checked on her, she told me “I’m just upset because today is Willow’s birthday.” Willow is one of Gillian’s American dolls. I said “No way! I didn’t know that. What should we do?” Gillian said “I don’t know.” I said “We should bring them downstairs for dinner.” She was so excited. We brought her dolls downstairs and set them up on their own table. 

She said “They got all dressed up for Willow’s birthday. We need to tell the boys all about it.” We told the boys and everyone wished Willow a happy birthday. As Gillian was showing Daddy where the dolls were having dinner, she pointed out their dresses. She said “Daddy look at Coral. She has a beautiful pink dress on that Grandma gave me.” Daddy said “Grandma made that dress for your dolls.” Gillian said “No way! How did she do that? She’s gotta teach me!” 

The dolls had an amazing dinner and Gillian was so happy. What a fun night.
