I tucked the kids into bed tonight and Gillian said “Will you check on me later?” I said “Of course.” She smiled and snuggled into her bed. 

A few minutes ago, I had to run downstairs to turn off some lights. Gillian’s room is at the top of the stairs and I know she saw me. I went in to give her another kiss. She put her arms up and gave me a big hug. She said “I love you so much. You can check me anytime!” Totally worth it.
