Yesterday after the kids came home I asked “Does anyone have anything important in their backpacks that I need to see before the weekend?” Gillian ran and got her bag. As she dug in her bag she said “Mom, do you like movies?” I said “Yes!” She said “Do you like movies with me in it?” I laughed and said “Do you have the form for the first grade concert?” She said “Yes! It’s only $20.” I filled out the paperwork and she ran and told Daddy “Mommy is getting the CD of my concert. It’s $20!” Daddy said “Twenty whole dollars?” She said “What? She’s going to write a check.”
