On Tuesday, the kids came home each with a little stuffed animal. They were able to pick one out at the end of camp. John picked a turtle (he has quite the collection of stuffed turtles) and Gillian picked out a walrus. When we got home, John had to get ready for martial arts and Gillian played quietly in her room. She told me “I’m going to make a habitat for my walrus.” I left her alone while I made dinner. 

When I came back to check on her, I found that she made a little habitat for her walrus out of her rock collection. 

I love that she wanted to make sure her walrus was comfortable in its new house.
