Gillian asked to help make dinner tonight. I immediately said no, but she persisted. We made some breaded chicken. She cracked the eggs and prepped the breadcrumbs. I showed her how light the stove and turn the flame to the proper temperature. She put the chicken in the eggs and then into the breadcrumbs.

She also picked the sides that we made to go with the chicken. While everything was cooking, she set the table and got everyone drinks.

I’m so glad that she insisted on helping. I had a wonderful time and so did Gillian!
