The kids first day of school is Friday. I got to spend the day hanging out with them today.

I asked them both “What are you most excited about for this school year?” John said “I’m looking forward to being on a schedule.” That’s what I’m looking forward to. I love a routine. Gillian said “Friends. Meeting new ones and seeing old friends.” She’s such a people person. Always wants everyone to get a long.

I then asked them “What scares you most for this school year?” They almost said in unison “Not knowing where my class is.” We reassured Gillian that her class would be easy to find because her teacher’s last name starts with a Z and is the only one in the whole school. We didn’t have many tips for John. He said “If it’s like last year, it shouldn’t be too hard.”

I hope that the worst thing that happens this year is that the kids get lost on their way to class.
