Pre-K Graduation

June 21, 2012November 8, 2016 johnandgillwentupahillLeave a comment

Today was John’s Pre-K Graduation.  I can’t believe my little boy graduated from Pre-K.  It seems the past 5 years have flown by so quickly.  Daddy, Aunt Betty, Mimi, Poppy and I all arrived at TLC and quickly found a seat in the Earth Room.  We watched as the graduates walked into the room.  John walked in… Continue reading Pre-K Graduation

The Lincroft Center for Children had their annual end of year party today.  John has been talking non-stop about the party for a week now.  TLC rents a water slide for the big kids and a bounce house for the younger kids.  They also get a lunch of hot dogs and Italian ice for dessert.    waiting in… Continue reading End of the Year Party

Cooper

When I was pregnant with Gillian, we talked to John a lot about the baby in Mommy’s belly.  We told him that if the baby was a girl, her name would be Gillian Marie and if the baby was a boy, he would be Cooper James.  When John met Gillian for the first time, he… Continue reading Cooper

Mother’s Day

May 13, 2012November 8, 2016 johnandgillwentupahillLeave a comment

John was very excited about Mother’s Day this year.  He made something in school and he brought it home on Wednesday.  He told me that “I wasn’t allowed to look at it until Mother’s Day.”  When I told him how many days before Mother’s Day, he was a little disheartened.  Then on Thursday, Gillian had… Continue reading Mother’s Day

Wheeeee!

Daddy picked up the kids from school today.  On the way home, John asked “Daddy, why are we going so slow?”  Daddy explained to him that there was traffic.  “Daddy, can I open my window?”  He opened his window, stuck his head out and had the following commentary:  “Whoa, look at all of those cars!  You gotta… Continue reading Wheeeee!

One day

May 9, 2012 johnandgillwentupahillLeave a comment

Last night in the bathtub, John said “One day, I’m going to be a Daddy and Gillian is going to be a Mommy.” I was a little taken back by his statement, but I did ask him what kind of kids he was going to have. He said “you mean boys or girls? Boys!” I… Continue reading One day

I know why

May 8, 2012 johnandgillwentupahillLeave a comment

I picked the kids up from school today. Before we were out the door, John started telling me about how he, Nick and Logan were inside while everyone else was outside. Before they got to go outside, it started raining. I said John why were you guys inside while everyone was outside. “I don’t want… Continue reading I know why

Counting and wishes

Tonight in the bathtub, John found Gillian’s foot under the bubbles. He counted her toes and put it back in the water. He then searched for the next foot. Once he found the other foot, he counted her toes again. He then says “what does five and five make?” Gillian cooperated and gave him her… Continue reading Counting and wishes

First cooking class

May 6, 2012 johnandgillwentupahillLeave a comment

I signed John up for cooking classes at the Young Chefs Academy. John went to YCA for a field trip and I thought he would enjoy taking classes there this summer. Today was his first class. I made sure we had plenty of time to get there. But I still heard from the backseat “we… Continue reading First cooking class

Monday

John woke up this morning and walked into our room.  The first thing he said, “Mommy, is it a stay at home day or a school day?”  I told him it was a school day and that I didn’t want to go to work either today.  He said “what day is it?”  I told him… Continue reading Monday
